Mermaids, huh! 2.0

Okay first of all I'm going to say I'm not really sure where this blog is going to go. I watched this program on mermaids the other day, yeah mermaids as in like half person half fish, they really exists? Floating around in the ocean? Well I watch the show and at first I was a little confused as to why animal planet the learning Channel and discovery channel are starting to have all the strange programs when they're supposed to be about education and biology and teaching? Anyway I thought it would be amusing if nothing else so I kept watching. Then they showed this thing called the bloop signal go ahead, look it up online it's strange. Then they start going into Navy sonar test signals, languages found in the bloop signal, bodies turning up on the beaches with all of the dead whales who've been beaching themselves, can any of this really be true? Why are all of these whales killing themselves in huge numbers, does any of it makes sense? Did men in Black really come out take bodies of mermaids off the beaches and intimidate the group of kids to not tell the truth? Does the Navy really have a living mermaid, merperson in captivity somewhere or is this like the alien stuff and could there be any truth to that, with all of the advancements in technology today who knows really who can tell I know I can't even begin to know where technology is going to be and that's what I do for a living. In the end this was just a show and I don't know how much of it was true and how much of it wasn't but if it's out there and you can find it watch it, I encourage you to think about it states and decide for yourselves what is true and what is fiction then think about how will we ever know the difference in the end, maybe even more importantly think about what it could mean. What if there was an aquatic species of beings who evolved overtime and may still be out there, maybe we have cousins that live out there in the deep ocean and we just haven't made contact, maybe we shouldn't try to make contact, we haven't been really very good to the other people on the planet, how would we treat them if we ever really found they existed? I wish I could give you all the facts and information in the show, most of it based on actual data. Watching and listening to the voices of something, definitely in pain and terror, communicating with the dolphins? I really can't say if this is another example of government cover-ups, are thier alien life working with certain people, did other species evolve to sentience, like mer-folk or dinosaurs, I don't really know, I'm trained to think openly but use occams razor when needed, ie the simplest answer is usually right. Yet we are still evolving, will there be a homo-superior, how about homo-sumis? Science has shown some things as true, we are still evolving, but our Enviormental niche has changed dramatically, also after the Permian extinction, most species which survived were oceanic, or water based species, like sharks, and crocodilians have survived, what if a creature of the oceans did survive, and evolved, we know ceatecians, and Cephalopoda are some of the most intelligent creatures, and certain avian species are already as smart as our own juveniles, in the end to quote micheal chrichton "Life will find a way!"
