Twitter, Facebook, google, joining the future

Im new to this world of inter-communications, information I understand, I've been using the web since diap-up BBS's, how many of you know what those are, back then we only dreamed of the web as it is today. Information you could never have dreamed of, from books translated from other countries, talking to people on the other side of the planet instantaneously when only 20 30 40 years ago it would've taken days for something like that to happen. Technology is changing so fast now, the computers can't keep up with the information changes, I think I adapt pretty easy, yet this technology, and it's capacity for abuse, I find a bit frightening.
