Social contract, do I have to follow the rules?
A few years ago I got a letter from my housing management company saying my shed went against the housing code, and my fence was a fire hazard they had to go. The shed went, but the fence... Well I don't like my neighbors so I fought about the fence, once the lawyer and the fire marshal came out we determined that my fence was fine more than four feet from the property line, today... My lovely neighbors have built a wooden shed touching my fence, it even has extension cords running lights and power into it, I've been told they were told to remove it, but hum its still there, they refuse to take it down, so why do I have to follow the rules we all signed to live here, and they don't seem to? I find it really frustrating when people come to this country because there tired of the corrupt governments, and the lawlessness, but continue to break the laws in their new country? Why do citizens end up being held to a higher standard when in school I've been told over and over we're all equal, equality is the modern Santa clause tooth fairy, and Easter bunny rolled into one, equaliy is a hypocritical myth that can't and will never be lived up to, so why do I bother to keep trying if nobody else bothers?
