Eclectic, to theme or not to theme 2.0

Recently I've been told that my blog is way too eclectic, I cover too many areas from technology to politics to religion to science to what's on TV, now personally my blog was always meant to be a kind of Journal of what's going on in my life and what I'm thinking about, in the beginning it was just a school project that I never really intended to be particularly serious about, but I found it's very cathartic in a way to be able to think out loud what you're most worried about, to give voice to something that you are struggling deeply with. Now being new to social media in the first place and definitely new to blogging I'm not sure. Does a blog have to have some function, some subject, some theme, or can it simply be what am I thinking about right now? Well the school assignment doesn't say, all it says is create a blog and see how many people you can reach in doing so. Well for the moment I think I'm going to continue as I have, and if anyone has any suggestions on things they would like to see changed or things they would like to see discussed I'm more than happy to see any comments and I'll follow up on them. I will say here that I'm very grateful to all of the different countries who have found something of interest in what I have to say, I appreciate your reading, and seeing the recent rise in countries like Russia and Australia, places I would've never thought I would've ever found anybody to be a reader truly amazes me. To be completely honest I figured I was going to fail in this assignment because I couldn't imagine I would have anything of interest to say for anybody, I figured I might have a few readers from my own country my friends and family but I had no idea that I was going to have the sheer quantity of people, much less the readers from all over the world and I am truly, truly humbled and greatful for that.
